CLSC program director Jay Sellers reviews an application

Cost and financial aid options

The cost of attending CLSC is approximately $25,000/year for in state students and about $29,000 for out of state students. And for students who live on-campus, there is an additional fee of approximately $11,000 for a room and meal plan (actual amounts for tuition and fees vary each year).

However, financial support is available. Delaware residents who are eligible for services from the Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) can receive up to 70 percent financial support toward the non-residential CLSC tuition and fees.

Support for living on campus is typically more limited. CLSC students are also eligible for federal financial aid (specifically Pell grants and work-study funding, but not federal loans) because CLSC has a designation as a Comprehensive Transition Program (CTP).

All students and families should expect that they will have to pay a portion of tuition and fees for attending the program, and this is usually approximately $7,000 per year (not including fees if living on-campus).

Admissions

CLSC uses a rolling admissions process and all new classes start in the fall. The review of applications begins in January for the following fall and continues until 12 new incoming students have been selected.
