Developmental screening is a procedure designed to identify children whose development is delayed. It allows for earlier detection of delays and can improve child health and well-being. Talk to your pediatrician about having a developmental screening. Many home visiting organizations and child care providers can also perform developmental screenings.  It is important that an accurate screening tool is used such as PEDS (Parents Evaluation of Developmental Status) or ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire). Be sure to ask about these tools.

The organizations listed below can also help if you have concerns about your child's development.
