Receiving SSI benefits? You will get your coronavirus stimulus payment automatically, government says

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries will receive their coronavirus stimulus payment automatically. The government had previously said Social Security beneficiaries would not have to do anything to receive their stimulus payments, but excluded SSI. The change means SSI recipients, many of whom do not file taxes, will not need to take an additional procedural step to receive their check.
