Disability nonprofits fear crisis because state doesn’t fully fund workers

Although the state Joint Finance Committee approved an increase of $4.7 million for nonprofit agencies that support individuals with disabilities, it is only a quarter of what is needed to reach market-level pay for direct support professionals, such as long-time Collaborative Effort to Reinforce Transition Success (C.E.R.T.S.) employee, Sharuanda Robinson.
