Pat Heineman

Emergency Preparedness and Response Specialist

Bio:

Pat Heineman designs and implements emergency preparedness initiatives for individuals with disabilities and their families, in concert with state agencies and nonprofit organizations. She manages a Citizen Corps grant from the Delaware Emergency Management Agency, which includes maintaining the AllReadyDE.org website.

Pat has more than 16 years of experience in the emergency preparedness field, including work with state and national government agencies, community organizations, service providers and special needs populations. She has conducted trainings on emergency preparedness for the Delaware Medical Reserve Corps and Delaware Division of Public Health nurses, with special attention on meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Pat holds an M.S. in Health Administration and a B.A. in School and Community Health Education from Towson State University, as well as certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.

Pat lives in Selbyville, Del., where she enjoys painting, cooking, long walks and time with her family and friends.
