AIM: Accessible Instructional Materials

Posted on July 20, 2015

Share

The Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) Project is a collaborative project with the Delaware Department of Education, the University of Delaware Center for Disabilities Studies, and Delaware Public Schools. Accessible instructional materials (AIM) are materials that are designed or converted in a way that makes them usable across the widest range of student variability regardless of format (print, digital, graphical, audio, video). The term AIM refers to print instructional materials that have been transformed into the specialized formats of braille, large print, audio, or digital text. Students with print disabilities can benefit from having instructional materials in different formats such as: read aloud, text-to-speech or other AIM.
