Caregivers Act clears senate

Federal officials are unveiling a new special education website months after problems with an existing site drew the attention of advocates and lawmakers. (Anne Meadows/Flickr)

The federal Recognize, Assist, Include, Support and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act, which would convene a family caregiving advisory council and carries bipartisan support, is gaining momentum. The bill passed the Senate and now goes to the House of Representatives.
