Biden Administration Cancels $7 Billion In Student Loans Through Data-Sharing Initiative

In an effort to streamline the Total and Permanent Disability discharge program, the Biden administration will allow the Social Security Administration to share data with the Education Department about borrowers who receive disability benefits. Those with outstanding federal student loans who meet eligibility requirements can have their loans automatically canceled, reducing bureaucratic requirements.
