Courts blocked Trump’s rule to keep out low-income immigrants

Two federal courts prevented the Trump administration from implementing a rule that would have created new barriers to immigrants with disabilities and others seeking to enter the U.S. The new rule would decrease an individual’s chances of admittance if he or she is judged likely to apply to social programs such as Medicaid, SNAP or Social Security. The Trump administration is expected to appeal the rulings.
