Percentage of children with ADHD nearly doubles

According to a study published in JAMA, between 1997 and 2016, the percentage of children with ADHD rose from 6.1 percent to 10.2 percent. Improved access to insurance and mental health services, fewer stigmas about mental health care and advances in medical technology are suggested as reasons for the increase.
