The University of Delaware and DelDOT will begin testing and utilizing a driverless shuttle on the STAR Campus by spring 2019, officials said. The Delaware Transit Corporation plans to buy a self-driving bus in the spring of 2019. The bus, which is fully ADA-compliant, will be tested around UD's STAR campus. Should the UD-run tests prove positive, the bus may start running routes in Newark.
