For aspiring doctors with disabilities, many medical schools come up short

A report issued this week by the Association of American Medical Colleges focused on medical students’ experiences disclosing their disabilities. It was found that very few disclose due to fear of judgement and perceptions of inability. The report is meant to educate those in the field about the potential of individuals with disabilities and their institution’s policies regarding disability.
