Charlotte Walder
Bio:
As a Career Counselor with CDS’s Spectrum Scholars, Charlotte supports students with disabilities in their career goals and professional development. They work with students through one-on-one career counseling, outreach, and programming focused on topics such as career exploration, networking, resumes, interviews, and self-advocacy.
Charlotte graduated from the University of Delaware in 2026, where they earned B.A. degrees in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Disability Studies. Their work and academic interests center on disability, accessibility, and empowering disabled individuals to advocate for themselves and navigate systems that are not always designed with them in mind. They are especially passionate about creating opportunities for disabled voices to be heard and represented.
Outside of their work with Spectrum Scholars, Charlotte has participated in a variety of disability-focused speaking and advocacy opportunities, including their TEDx Talk, “What Happened? Disability Beyond the Medical Narrative,” and panels focused on disability and healthcare. They have also served as a coach for UDiscover, a pre-college summer program run through CDS and CLSC, for several years.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys listening to music, collecting CDs and records, trying local coffee shops, and cooking for their loved ones!
