Posted February 8, 2022 9:17 amThe Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism (DNEA), which is housed in the Health and Wellness Unit at CDS, helps the community stay informed by developing and distributing information and resources on issues that impact people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and professionals who support this growing population of Delawareans. The DNEA engages in training, technical assistance, and information dissemination activities to promote the use of evidence-based practices in education, social services, healthcare, and vocational training.
The Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism (DNEA) helps the community stay informed by developing and distributing information and resources on issues that impact people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and professionals who support this growing population of Delawareans. The DNEA engages in training, technical assistance, and information dissemination activities to promote the use of evidence-based practices in education, social services, healthcare, and vocational training. Through its partnership with Autism Delaware, the DNEA also connects families and individuals with autism to resources in the community. Under the direction of the Health and Wellness Unit Director and DNEA Director, the DNEA Program Coordinator will have day-to-day responsibility for coordinating all aspects of DNEA activities. The DNEA Program Coordinator will work out of our Sussex County office location in collaboration with the DNEA Director. The DNEA Program Coordinator will: (a) manage logistics related to training and technical assistance activities; (b) support the development and dissemination of informational materials; (c) assist with annual reporting efforts; (d) facilitate communication and quarterly meetings with network and community partners; and (e) organize and coordinate data collection efforts. This individual will also support the coordination of evaluation activities and, with Director support, contribute to ongoing quality improvement activities. This position requires sensitive and capable interaction and collaboration with multiple parties – including community partners and individuals with disabilities – a high degree of self-motivation, and a commitment to quality.
