Implementation Coach, Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism
Posted January 13, 2023 10:12 amThe Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism seeks an Implementation Coach, who will be a part of a growing team of grant-funded DNEA staff focused on providing training and technical assistance to professionals who support Delawareans with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The University of Delaware Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS) is the largest research and public service center in the College of Education and Human Development. It promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of society. The Center accomplishes this through education, service, information dissemination, and research.
The Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism (DNEA), which is housed in the Health and Wellness Unit at CDS, helps the community stay informed by developing and distributing information and resources on issues that impact people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and professionals who support this growing population of Delawareans.
The DNEA engages in training, technical assistance, and information dissemination activities to promote the use of evidence-based practices in education, social services, healthcare, and vocational training. Through its partnership with Autism Delaware, the DNEA also connects families and individuals with autism to resources in the community. The Implementation Coach will have expertise to oversee training and technical assistance activities related to professionals who support adolescents, young adults and/or adults with ASD. They will have experience in one of the following areas:
- transition and post-secondary education; AND/OR
- vocational training; AND/OR
- adult services; AND/OR
- other public health or social service areas that serve this population.
This position will require occasional travel between the Milford and Newark office locations and other training sites. The incumbent may primarily work out of either of the DNEA’s office locations.
