Standard Practice: Early autism evaluations in Delaware
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Center for Disabilities Studies
461 Wyoming Rd, Newark, DE
Early autism evaluations are becoming more accessible in Delaware. How did we get here? And how do we get better?
Join us to learn how CDS, the Delaware Division of Public Health, Nemours and the Delaware Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilites (LEND) program collaborated to make autism evaluations standard at Child Development Watch (CDW) South, the state’s early intervention program branch in Kent and Sussex counties.
CDS’s Brittany Powers will present on the initiative, part of the federally funded Building Bridges program. Following will be a panel discussion about accessing and participating in the evaluations featuring Katie Burris (CDW South), Zach Radcliff (LEND/Nemours) and Elizabeth Downs-Bond (parent of a child with autism).
Please request any needed accommodations.
Free accessible parking is available.
You’re welcome to bring a bag lunch.
